Ask most punters which Premier League clubs are BTTS teams and you'll get answers built on a handful of memorable games. I wanted the long view: every club with at least two top-flight seasons between 2021/22 and 2025/26, ranked by how often both sides found the net. That's 1,900 matches and 21 clubs, against a league rate of 55.3%.

The headline: Leeds sit top at 61.4%, Everton prop up the table at 46.3%, and the gap between them is 15.1 points. The more useful finding is why clubs end up where they do, because the low end holds two very different kinds of team. My both teams to score tips page carries the week-to-week calls. This file is the background I lean on before I make them.

Section ALeeds, Brighton and Liverpool lead the Premier League BTTS table

The top half is tightly packed. Leeds lead at 61.4% across 114 matches, a fair price of 1.63 for BTTS Yes, with Brighton on 60.0% and Liverpool and Tottenham level on 58.4%. Below them sits a shelf of clubs, including Brentford, West Ham, Fulham and Aston Villa, all on 57.9% or a fraction below.

Look at the last two columns, not just the BTTS one. Leeds got there by conceding in 84.2% of games while scoring in 69.3%. Liverpool got there the opposite way, scoring in 91.1% and conceding in 63.7%. The headline rate is the same but the engine behind it is completely different, and that matters when you're pricing a specific fixture.

The fair odds column is break-even maths, not a forecast. It is the observed rate turned into a price with no margin. If you're offered less than 1.73 on a West Ham game, you need a reason to think that match beats the club's own average.

Section BEverton, Wolves and Arsenal post the lowest Premier League BTTS rates

At the foot, Everton sit on 46.3% from 190 matches, a fair price of 2.16, with Wolves and Arsenal level on 48.9%. Manchester City aren't far above at 52.6%. That surprises people who assume a team that scores constantly drags BTTS up with it.

It doesn't, because BTTS needs both doors open. Arsenal scored in 85.3% of matches but conceded in only 59.5%, the fewest in the ranking, which is why they sit 19th of 21. Everton are the other story. They scored in 66.8% and conceded in 72.1%, so neither end of their games was reliably productive.

Burnley and Southampton are the odd pair here. Both conceded in 86.8% of matches, yet they sit mid-table for BTTS because they scored so rarely themselves.

Section CArsenal and City lose BTTS differently from Wolves and Everton

This chart splits each club's games into four endings, and it's where the ranking turns into something usable. Matches where only Manchester City scored made up 36.8% of their games, and only Arsenal scored in 36.3% of theirs. The opponent blanking is what kills BTTS in their matches. Wolves are the mirror image, with only the opponent scoring in 30.5% of games.

Everton's misses are spread out. Only Everton scored in 20.5% of their games, only the opponent in 25.8%, and 7.4% finished 0-0. Leeds topped the table but still saw 0-0 in 7.9% of games, while Tottenham had the fewest goalless draws of the group at 1.6%.

For a bettor, this tells you which side of the fixture to interrogate. With Arsenal or City, the question is whether the opponent can score. With Wolves or Everton, it's whether they can.

Section DPremier League BTTS rates jumped sharply from 2023/24 onwards

The club rankings sit on top of a league baseline that hasn't stood still. From 2016/17 to 2022/23 the rate hovered around half, dipping to 48.9% in 2017/18 and again in 2020/21. It then leapt to 61.6% in 2023/24. It has eased since, to 56.1% in 2025/26, but stayed above the older seasons.

That shift lifts every club's five-season figure, because the window includes the strongest season in this chart. Compare clubs with the 55.3% league average from the same window, not with older norms.

Which brings me to the main caveat. These are averages that mix different squads, managers and seasons. With 76 to 190 matches per club, the uncertainty is roughly ±7 to ±11 points, so neighbouring ranks aren't meaningfully different. Treat the ends of the table as signal and the middle as noise.

Club verdict

What this file means before you bet.

  • Question the opponent's attack. Arsenal and City games went against BTTS mainly because opponents blanked. Only Arsenal scored in 36.3% of their matches and only City in 36.8%. Ask whether the other side can realistically score before you look at the price.
  • Respect Everton's low baseline. Everton's 46.3% implies a fair price of 2.16, so a short BTTS Yes in their games needs a strong fixture-specific reason. Wolves at 48.9% sit in similar territory.
  • Treat close ranks as equal. Club samples are small, so Brentford, West Ham and Fulham on 57.9% versus Bournemouth on 55.9% is not a real difference. Use the extremes, such as Leeds at 61.4%, as starting points and adjust for the current squad.
